This Privacy Policy explains how Pruvelo (“Pruvelo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Services”). Pruvelo provides software for childcare center operations, compliance recordkeeping, and communication between directors, teachers, and parents.
This policy is informational and does not replace the agreements you may have with your organization. If you are using Pruvelo on behalf of a childcare center, your center controls the information submitted to the Services.
Information we process
- Account information: name, email, role, and authentication details.
- Center data: rooms, staff, children enrollment records, attendance records, and operational configuration entered by your center.
- Compliance records: documents uploaded, signatures, timestamps, and exported packets.
- Communications: messages and related metadata within the Services.
- Usage data: device/browser information, logs, and performance metrics to keep the Services reliable and secure.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access.
- Generate inspection-ready exports and audit trails.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Communicate with you about support, billing, and product updates.
Sharing & subprocessors
We share information with service providers (“subprocessors”) to operate the Services:
- Supabase (database, storage, authentication)
- Stripe (payments and billing)
- Sentry (error monitoring)
We do not sell personal information. We may share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction (e.g., merger) subject to appropriate safeguards.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, tenant isolation policies, and encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and keep account access controlled.
Children’s data (FERPA/COPPA)
Our Services may process information relating to children as part of childcare center operations and compliance. We process such information on behalf of the childcare center that controls the data. We do not use children’s information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Depending on how the Services are used, information may qualify as education-related records. We design access controls and audit trails to support appropriate handling. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted improperly, contact us at legal@pruvelo.com.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and as required for legitimate business purposes (e.g., security and compliance) and legal obligations. Your center may request export or deletion consistent with its obligations.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information. If you use Pruvelo through your childcare center, requests should usually be directed to the center administrator first.
